FWT Tignes
  Nissan Freeride World Tour, Tignes.

The Tignes event had been postponed most of the week, leaving the riders to sit it out, socialise and wait for the break in weather to get the competition underway.

Come the day of the competition, conditions were perfect and the venue enticing. The male riders started first, with notable mention to Thomas Diet (Fra) and the Austrian rider, Matthias Haunholder making light work of their runs and impressing the judges. Current FWT leader Aurelien Ducroz, posted a 14th place after tumbling and fellow countryman Seb Michaud posting a 13th after checking a huge cliff that was unobtainable leaving him up-climbing to access an equally huge launch with a more certain landing.

The afternoon's affair was held up and somewhat overshadowed by the fall of Adrien Coirier late in the mens event. With just three male skiers to ride and all the Ladies. Adrien found himself above a huge and technical rock band high up on the face. Catching a ski left him tumbling three times onto rocks below the next. The competition was then stalled for Adrien to be heli-vacced to hospital where he is said to be shaken but not serious with a few broken bones. We wish him a speedy recovery.

The Event also saw a welcome comeback to the FWT competition for Géraldine Fasnacht (Sui) who easily took the ladies first place in Snowboard.
