Ane finished in 4th place in Tignes, despite a fantastic run and in our eyes should have posted a second place.
There was very little between Ane, Marja Persson (Swe) and Elyse Saugstad (USA). All three girls showing the skills needed to win both the tour and ski on such a face.
In the end, the judges posted,
1- Caroline Meynet FRA
2- Marja Persson SWE
3- Elyse Saugstad USA
This now leaves a nail-biting conclusion to the tour with any 1 of the 4 top girls able to win in Verbier in 1 week.
1- Marja Persson SWE 4500
2- Caroline Meynet FRA 4100
3- Elyse Saugstad USA 4060
4- ANE ENDERUD NOR 4000
The mathematics and possibilities for the final results now mean that a win in Verbier will see Ane crowned as the 2009 FWT Ladies Champion.
Ane was clearly disappointed in Tignes not to have posted a top 3 finish but remains focused and motivated that she can pull out all the stops in Verbier and win the title.
Ane is now on her way back to Chamonix, to recover, relax and start her training for the Verbier Extreme, 21st March. |
